Farmers Branch Cast Iron Waterline Replacement - Engineering Design

Project Overview:

The City of Farmers Branch is seeking statements of qualifications (SOQs) for engineering design services to replace approximately 2,984 linear feet of aging cast-iron waterlines with PVC water mains to improve the safety, reliability, and sustainability of the community's drinking water distribution system. This is jointly funded by an EPA Region 6 Community Grant. The project will reduce the potential for lead exposure, improve drinking water quality, reduce water loss associated with aging infrastructure, and enhance the long-term reliability of the public water system. The existing water lines are shown in Exhibit A.
