The U.S. Embassy in Prague seeks a contractor for the complete replacement of a 19-meter-long, 2.0-meter-high retaining wall located between two Government-Owned (GO) residential properties in Prague 6.

The work includes demolition of the existing statically damaged retaining wall and adjacent fencing, excavation and earthwork, construction of new reinforced concrete foundations and a new RC retaining wall, installation of a drainage and waterproofing system, wall capping, installation of new 80 cm fencing with tie-ins to existing structures on both sides of the property line, and full site restoration. The contractor's work shall comply with Czech National Standards or U.S. codes and standards, whichever is more stringent

Contractor Requirements: The contractor shall provide all necessary quantity surveyors, personnel, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete the services per the technical requirements under a firm fixed price. The period of performance for all phases of the project shall not exceed 15 days from Contract Award, with construction milestones including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit reports, bill of materials, product literature, drawings, specifications, quality control schedule, project safety plan, and construction costs

  • No work beyond the SOW unless directed in writing by the Contracting Officer (CO); work begins only after issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP)

  • Ensure professional quality, technical accuracy, and coordination of all services; designate a Project Site Manager approved by the COR

Additional Requirements:

  • Contractor's employees and subcontractors must submit corporate, financial, and personnel information — including construction vehicle requirements — for Embassy review within 10 days of NTP

  • Provide a fixed-price lump sum proposal in CZK (with and without VAT), including specification of materials
