Waste Audit Services

The following is a Request for Information (RFI).

On behalf of the New York State (“NYS”) Office of General Services (“OGS”), Procurement Services requests information from vendors that provide Waste Audit Services (WAS). Waste Audit Services (“WAS”) shall mean the identification and examination of waste generated at a facility; it takes a closer look at the methods used to reduce the current waste generated and analyzes their effectiveness; additionally, it helps determine areas for waste reduction and recycling improvement.

The purpose of this Request for Information (“RFI”) is to acquire information regarding possible services and solutions available in the marketplace for WAS. NYS will use the information received from this RFI to review the available services and solutions in making a determination regarding future contracting strategies.

This RFI seeks to acquire information on Waste Audit Services (WAS): the waste audit process, the resources needed, the waste audit deliverables and pricing. Thus, the RFI includes questions to gain an understanding of a comprehensive waste audit. In addition, the RFI seeks to understand the availability of waste audit services throughout NYS.

RFI responses must be submitted no later than February 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST to the Fuels Team at ogs.sm.ps_cm_fleetfuelroads@ogs.ny.gov . All inquiries should also be submitted to this address.

Since this RFI is designed as a tool to collect information and will not result in a procurement contract for Waste Audit Services by an Authorized User, it does not fall under the requirements of State Finance Law §§139-j and 139-k (the Procurement Lobbying Law) and there is no restricted period. However, we ask that you direct your questions and responses in writing to the email address listed above.
