West Union MG: 14'x14' Overhead Door & Operator

Overview: The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed & licensed contractor to replace one 14'x14' overhead door and operator as per specifications outlined in RFB FY2025 #018 Specifications dcument (Attachment tab).

Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity.

Site Visits: A pre-bid site visit is highly recommended . To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact Kyle Williams at kyle.williams@iowadot.us with a date and time of when the contractor wishes to conduct a site visit. Contractors may visit the site by appointment only. Please provide a 24 hour notice before your requested visit date.

The awarded contractor will be required to conduct a site visit for final fit measurements.

Communication: Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation.  All questions must be directed solely to the Purchasing Agent listed in the bid opportunity. We encourage vendor to upload all questions on or before the question cut off due date and time in ION Wave. Responses to questions will be communicated out to vendors via DOT’s ION wave bid system. Bid Responses shall be submitted within DOT’s ION wave Bid System or signed and prepared in ink or typewritten in the solicitation documents provided. Telephonic, email or facsimile responses shall not be considered.

Please post questions to ION Wave before the question cutoff deadline of 10/16/2024 at 5:00PM CT. Questions or requests for site visit received after this date and time will not be accepted.

Project Timeline: Start and completion dates listed in this solicitation are desired dates. Bidders are welcome to propose other reasonable dates for DOT consideration based on but not limited to; lead time for materials, beginning or ends of seasonal periods, coordination and availability of subcontractors.
