at the project site on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Participants will meet near 34 Madison Drive, Carson City where they will then be led to the project site.
DBE | There are no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program goals for this procurement. However, the City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26, hereby notifies all bidders and proposers that it shall affirmatively ensure that in regard to any contract entered into, certified DBE/SBE firms shall be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and proposals in response to our invitation and shall not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Although there is no contract-specific goal associated, the City encourages bidders to make the same effort to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of subcontracts, to help remove barriers to the participation of DBEs/SBEs, and to assist in the development of firms that can compete successfully in the marketplace outside the DBE/SBE program.
Summary | The project consists of removing the existing coatings from the interior and exterior of the Water Tank and re-painting the tank’s interior and exterior. The project includes all common phases of construction customarily associated with this type of project. The tank is approximately fifty-five (55) feet in diameter and approximately twenty-four (24) feet tall. The area of nine thousand (9,000) square feet listed in the bid summary is only an approximation of the total interior roof, wall and floor surface areas and does not include any additional square footage for beams and columns. Re-painting of the beams, columns and other items is included in the scope of work and shall be included in the contractors bid. Additional work also includes installing a new twenty-four (24) inch wide ladder per manufacturer's recommendations, installing a LAD Safety Ladder System and Ladder Guard, installing a passive cathodic protection system, miscellaneous steel work including but not limited to installing additional handrail, removing the existing ladder, installing anchor safety points, removing Unistrut, installing new vent screens, and installing brackets for conduit as shown on the plans. This project requires a Contractor's License Class A, C-28, C-28a, or C-4.
