Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Underwater Recovery Team (URT) program has a requirement for 5 with an optional 2 additional towed side scan SONAR system, to be operated in both salt and fresh water environments; as well as moving and still waters. The requirement also includes training, warranty and SONAR maintenance and support services.
The equipment is required as URT is often required to search very large bodies of water (squarekilometres +) for detecting very small targets of various sizes (1.5m and larger) in the first surveypass. URT requires this equipment in order to make full use of existing Remotely OperatedVehicle(s) in our inventory (used to conduct deep water recoveries beyond the capabilities ofURT divers).
