NOTICE TO BIDDERS
ElectronicbidswillbereceivedbytheBoardofCountyCommissioners,WashingtonCounty,Ohio,
on behalf of the Washington County Engineer, 103 Westview Ave, April 28, 2026 at 10:00am and will be
opened immediately thereafter for:
Thefurnishingofallservices,labor,equipmentandmaterialsrequiredfortheHuneCoveredBridge
Rehabilitation Project T-921-0050 in Washington County.
NOTICE: ONLY ODOT-PREQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS ARE ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT BIDS FOR THIS
PROJECT. PREQUALIFICATION STATUS MUST BE IN FORCE AT THE TIME OF BID, AT THE TIME OF
AWARD, AND THROUGH THE LIFE OF THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT. FOR WORK TYPES THAT
ODOT DOES NOT PREQUALIFY, THE LPA MUST STILL SELECT A QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR.
SUBCONTRACTORS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT. THE PRIME
CONTRACTOR MUST PERFORM NO LESS THAN 30 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL ORIGINAL
CONTRACT PRICE.
Theestimatedcostofthisprojectis$2,240,021andtheprojectcannotbeawardedifthebidprice
exceeds the estimate by 20%, as per ORC Section 153.12.
Copies of the Construction Plans, Bidding Forms, and Specifications on the Unit Price Contract
may be viewed via Bid Express. A copy of the ODOT specifications is available in the County Engineer's
Office for review.
Each bid shall have filed with it a bid guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or
letterofcreditrevocableonlyattheoptionofWashingtonCountyinanamountequalto10%ofthebidora
bond in accordance with division (B) of Section 153.54 of the Revised Code.
The County Commissioners reserve the right to increase or decrease any quantities, waive any
informalitiesortechnicalities,andmayrejectany/orallbidsasmaybedeemedtobeinthebestinterestof
Washington County.
