Project Description: Boyertown Borough will receive sealed bids for the W. Philadelphia Ave & Ironstone Dr. Intersection Improvements Project. The scope of work generally includes Qwick Kurb, pavement marking removal, pavement markings, signage and associated work. Bids will be submitted on https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/ and will remain open until September 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM prevailing time, at which time the Bids will be opened and a summary of the results will be made public shortly after. Bids will have a tentative award date of September 8, 2026. Faxed bids will not be accepted.
The contract documents and solicitation details are available at no cost on https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. A nominal fee is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees. All questions shall be submitted to https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/.
Bids are to be submitted on https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, certified check or cashier’s check, in favor of Boyertown Borough in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by Boyertown Borough.
A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this project. Bidders are encouraged to visit the project site prior to submitting a bid.
All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. This bid is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the PA L&I Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. There is a zero percent verify requirement for MBE and/or WBE participation.
Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however Boyertown Borough reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must submit with their bids, the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents.
