The work to be done consists, in general, of the removal and disposal of sediment from two culverts (N9-UI303-N9-UO302 & N9-UI304-N9-UO305) and clearing excess sediment buildup from the channel that runs between the culverts. The channel is to be cleared as to maintain steady water flow between the culverts.

The City of Santa Cruz was incorporated in 1866 and formed its current charter in 1948. It is governed under a Council/Manager form of government. The City is located on the coast, 75 miles south of San Francisco on the northern edge of the Monterey Bay.
