Description
1. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 20, intends to solicit quotes for SmithCO Sweepstar Brand Name or Equal Lawn Sweeper, VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center, White City Oregon. The PSC is 3750 Gardening Implements and Tools. Salient Characteristics will be included in the solicitation A Statement of Work (SOW) will be included in the solicitation. The Request for Quotations number is 36C26026Q0195. Contracting POCs for this solicitation is Robert Weeks, can be reached at robert.weeks@va.gov. 2. The solicitation is anticipated to result in the award of a single firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333112, corresponding to Lawn and Garden Tractor and Home Lawn and Garden Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center requires the procurement of a lawn sweeper meeting the following minimum technical specifications:
Self-contained, three-wheel tricycle configuration with zero-turn front wheel steering capability.
Dual rear hydraulic drive wheels and a rear-mounted hydraulic high-lift debris hopper.
Operator canopy equipped with a Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) and integrated seat belts.
Powered by an 18-horsepower gasoline engine.
This acquisition is being solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services.
3. Award will be made to the lowest priced quote that meets brand name or equal requirements from an authorized source of the product such original manufacturer, authorized dealer/reseller or similarly termed quoter. Award is anticipated to be made around 04/03/2026 but is subject to change.
4. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the Contracting Opportunities website, https://sam.gov/. The tentative solicitation issue date is Mar 3, 2026.Interested Quoters are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times.
5.All Responsible sources may submit a quotation, as appropriate, which will be considered by the agency. All prospective Contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://sam.gov/ database. Failure to register in the database will make a Quoter ineligible for award.
