Synopsis:
|
|
Submissions marked "COR26-00143 – 2026/2027 Expressway Lighting Rehab Construction" will be received by the City of Regina (see Part 1.5.1 of the RFP), no later than 2:00:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Regina (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 2026/2027 Expressway Lighting Rehab Construction as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The City is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced general contractors with demonstrated expertise in expressway street lighting construction. The work involves the replacement of underground cable and luminaires along designated sections of Lewvan Drive and is critical to maintain adequate nighttime visibility, improve roadway safety, and reduce the burden on maintenance crews who currently respond to frequent outages and deteriorating components. The City will supply the luminaires, while the successful proponent will be responsible for the procurement and installation of all other materials, including cables and conduits.
Expressway lighting on high-speed roadways provides adequate visibility for motorists during the night hours and other low-light periods. The City is responsible for the maintenance and operation of expressway lighting within city limits. Much of the expressway infrastructure is in poor condition and needs rehabilitation.
There will not be a public opening however the list of firm names who submitted a response will be posted to the Sasktenders website.
