Bid Type: Job Contract Locations: Chittenden Keywords: Paving Contractor, Road Construction Bid Description: .1 Description of Work This project consists of road maintenance at one of the town highways. 1. Bolton Valley Access Road: • One (1) mile starting at the base of the Bolton Valley access road and proceeding 1 mile north from US Route 2, ending approximately at the “Welcome to Bolton Valley” road sign. • Reclaim and fine grade. • Machine pave 2.5” binder course and 1.5” wearing course. • Surface preparation, including tack coat and repair of potholes, is considered incidental to the work. • Bituminous concrete pavement shall meet the requirements of Section 406 of the Standard Specifications Bidders are encouraged to visit the sites and observe existing conditions before submitting Bids. The Contractor will be responsible for submitting a traffic control plan to the Town for approval at least 72 hours prior to mobilizing; the Contractor shall coordinate traffic control with the Town, and the traffic control plan, temporary signage, cones, etc. are considered incidental to the work. The Town anticipates that flaggers (Pay Item 630.15) may be required at each site during construction. Uniformed traffic officers (UTOs) (Pay Item 630.10) may be required during construction. As such, Bid Forms include add-alternate line items for flaggers and/or UTOs. • Restriping and/or other painted markings are included in this contract.
