ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
Sealed bids for Contract Mowing Service will be accepted at the Naperville Park District Administrative Building - Boardroom, 320 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville, Illinois 60540, until Thursday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 am, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bid documents can be found on the DemandStar.com (OpenBids) website or may be obtained upon request. Request for digital bid documents must be submitted to Tristin Toures by email at ttoures@napervilleparks.org All necessary bid documents will be emailed at no cost. Hard copies are not available.
The work consists of contract mowing service at various locations within the Naperville Park District for one year (2027), with the option to extend the contract for a second (2028) and third (2029) year(s). Services are divided out by three regions (North, Central, and South). Contactors may select to bid on one, two, or all three regions. Contracts will be awarded separately for each region.

Requirements for Performance Bond
1. For all projects where the contract sum is $150,000 or greater, Contractor shall provide a Surety Bond (guaranteeing both faithful performance and payment to subcontractors and material suppliers for labor and materials), naming the Naperville Park District as Obligee, for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction and in a form approved by the Park District Attorney. Such bonds shall include the provision guaranteeing the faithful performance of the Prevailing Wage Act. The surety on the bond shall be a company that is licensed by the Department of Insurance authorizing it to execute surety bonds and the company shall have a financial strength rating of at least A- as rated by A.M. Best Company, Inc., Moody’s Investors Service, Standard & Poor’s Corporation, or a similar rating agency.
2. If a bid is accepted, the Contractor will be required to file a written substance abuse prevention program with the Owner for the prevention of substance abuse among its employees prior to the commencement of the work. Said program shall be available to the general public.
Award of Contract
It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded in November 2026. The Park District reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible Bids or to reject all bids and waive any informality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Park District.
