Project Description: Susquehanna Waldorf School invites sealed bids from qualified vendors to provide and install a School Campus Security Intercom System to enhance school safety. The project encompasses installing a comprehensive School Campus Security Intercom System to enable public announcements, visual emergency alerts, and two-way communication capabilities across the school.
The project includes all necessary infrastructure, equipment, programming, licensing, labor, and freight to implement the system. The completed system must comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
PROJECT SCOPE: Provide and install wireless safety infrastructure enabling public announcements over loudspeakers and visual emergency alerts in school building. Initial coverage will include public areas such as lobbies on each floor, hallways, and gymnasium. Provide, install, and program a central base station with handset for live announcements and 6-button emergency event module for quick pre-programmed emergency activations. Provide backup batteries for all wireless receivers and a UPS surge protector to protect the central base station. Include the required FFC License to operate the system for 10 years before renewal. Extend the existing system by installing wireless Digital Intercom Wall Stations in (20) classrooms, allowing 2-way communication between all classrooms and the central base station. A high-power repeater will be installed to extend the range of the intercom transmitters to all classrooms. Provide and install (2) weatherproof horn speakers on the exterior of the building to cover outdoor areas such as the playground and parking lot. Provide backup batteries for all wireless receivers and intercom wall stations to extend operation of system in the event of a power outage.
