Description
The Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) intends to procure all necessary labor, equipment and materials for the design, installation, testing, and inspection by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal for the modernization of the existing Unit 2 freight elevator at the DISTRICT’S Gerald Gentleman Station (GGS) and all other requirements as specified in these Contract Documents.
The Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) intends to procure all necessary labor, equipment and materials for the design, installation, testing, and inspection by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal for the modernization of the existing Unit 2 freight elevator at the DISTRICT’S Gerald Gentleman Station (GGS) and all other requirements as specified in these Contract Documents.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details
A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit for prospective Bidders will be held at Gerald Gentleman Station, located at 6089 South Highway 25, Sutherland, Nebraska 69165, at 10:00 a.m., CST, on January 20, 2026, for the purpose of reviewing the Contract specifications and to answer any questions or clarifications the Bidder may have concerning the Contract requirements. It is the Bidder’s responsibility, while participating in the pre-bid meeting, to ask any questions necessary to understand the requirements of the Contract so the Bidder can submit a bid that is complete and according to the specifications. It is imperative that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting. Bids will not be accepted from any Bidder not in attendance at the pre-bid meeting and site visit. If you plan to attend, email Sarah Hopwood at sjhopwo@nppd.com and Mindy Evans at maevans@nppd.com no later than January 16, 2026 with the names of those representatives planning to participate in the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit and the company they represent.
