Scope

This Invitation for Bids will establish required contract unit priced items related to the Furnishing and Loading of Stone, Riprap, and Backfill Materials including screened topsoil, recycled material, fine aggregate sand and washed mortar sand as well as the Furnishing and Delivering of Stone, Riprap and Backfill Materials to the Depot or other designated locations.

Stone, Riprap and Backfill Materials furnished under the terms of this Invitation for Bids must conform or exceed to the latest edition of the State of Maryland’s Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials including the latest applicable revisions as well as the requirements of Section D of this Invitation to Bid.

Deliveries will be provided to the County depot locations referenced in this solicitation. Deliveries under the resulting Contract will be located within the political boundaries of Montgomery County, Maryland. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to be knowledgeable of the variety and scope of the County roadway infrastructure at the time of bid.

This Summary Description does not in any way limit any scope of work, contractor’s responsibilities or requirements as outlined in this Solicitation. Contractors are responsible for each Bid Quotation Item and all of the Terms and Conditions included or referenced herein.

All questions and requests for clarification on the IFB must be submitted in writing by email to the technical contact and non-technical contact identified on the Bid Cover Sheet and emailed no later than ten (10) calendar days before the scheduled date of bid opening.
