NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that a designated committee of the Board of Supervisors of Jones
County, Mississippi, will receive sealed bids until Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00
a.m. at the Laurel Courthouse for the privilege of keeping on deposit the funds of Jones County,
Mississippi, as required by Section 27-105-303, Mississippi Code of 1972, As Amended.
Bids must be in writing, marked on the outside of the sealed envelope “BANKING” and
include the name, address and telephone number of the bidder.
Proposals should include all relevant banking information such as interest rate paid on
funds, either fixed or variable, any fees and deadlines for various services, online services
offered and cyber-crime protections. All banks submitting a valid bid will be accepted as a
County Depository.
The County will determine where to place funds based on multiple factors such as interest
rate, fees, services offered, protections, bank locations, etc.
The Board also reserves the right to invest any funds in excess of operations in higher
earning instruments such as C.D. and money market accounts.
Please state if your bank participates in the statewide collateral pool, managed by the
Mississippi Treasury Dept. and include certification from the State Treasury Dept.
Bids shall be for a term of a two-year period beginning January 5, 2026, and ending
December 31, 2027.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and or all bids, to waive informalities, and to
