Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project will renourish approximately 4 miles of shoreline in Nassau County, Florida on Fernandina Beach south of the St. Mary's Entrance Channel south jetty between FDEP Range Monuments R-13 and R-33. Beach compatible sand for the project will be dredged from the South Channel Borrow Area. The South Channel Borrow Area is located immediately south of the St. Mary's Entrance Channel and about 3 miles offshore of the south jetty. Project work also includes, but is not limited to, Munitions and Explosives of Concerns (MEC) construction support, beach tilling, vibration monitoring, turbidity monitoring, and environmental species monitoring.





The Project is located in Nassau County, Florida, on the East central coast of Florida.





Note: Coast Guard Certified dredge is required to complete the work.





The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 09 January 2025 and bids will be due on or about 11 February 2025.

NAICS Code 237990, Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities. The Small Business Standard is $37 million





The Magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and 25,000,000.00.





The estimated period of performance associated with this requirement is: 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The contractor shall commence work within 60 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
