Homestead Invasive Species Control Project

This solicitation is to procure a contract with the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) to remove invasive species and some native trees and transplant threatened and endangered (T&E) species for habitat improvement and restoration to support Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG) land management, training, and readiness. FLARNG is currently responsible for the use and management of a portion of leased land from Miami- Dade County adjacent to the Homestead Air Force Reserve Base (HARB) located along St Lo Boulevard and Schweinfurt Road in Homestead, Florida. The land is divided into 5 parcels (A-E) and totals 76 acres, all of which are overgrown. It is anticipated that one contract will be awarded for a period of 3 (three) years. The complete term of the contract is expected to begin on or about November 30, 2024, and end on or about December 1, 2027.
