Title: CSA Roadside Spray 2025-2026
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 2/5/2025
Due Date: 3/10/2025
The County of Tuolumne through its Public Works Engineering Division (“County”) is seeking bids from qualified firms ("Consultant") to provide weed abatement services for the 1784 CSA Roadside Spray 2025-2026 Project at multiple designated county locations (maps attached for reference). Firms responding to this IFB must possess an Agricultural Pest Control Contractor’s License issued by the State of California Department of Pesticide Regulation, or provide the County with written recommendations from an Agricultural Pest Control Advisor licensed to operate in the State of California for all chemicals listed for use within this contract. A copy of these must be submitted with the bid proposal form. If you are not a Pest Control Advisor, you must submit written recommendations from a licensed Pest Control Advisor for all chemicals listed with your bid for each specific area.
The Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works coordinates the maintenance of County Service Area and public trust funded public roads and related facilities outside the County’s maintained road system. The ownership of these roads and facilities is retained by property owners within the various developments throughout the County and funding for maintaining these roads is provided by assessments and/or taxes levied against the parcels served. Maintenance of these roads is generally performed by independent contractors. Current subdivisions, particularly those in suburban or rural areas, often face challenges with overgrown weeds and vegetation along their edges. Regular weed abatement along subdivision roads is essential not only for maintaining aesthetics, but more importantly, for ensuring the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists as well as reducing the risk of fire and environmental harm.
