Lawson, MO
City of Lawson (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Lawson Lake Trail (Federal Recreational Trails Program - Project No. 2023-07)
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Lawson, City Clerk Office located at 103 South Pennsylvania, Lawson, Missouri or mailed to PO Box 185, Lawson, Missouri until Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 1:00PM local time. Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read at 1:15PM. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive contractor who has the ability to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of the contract.
The Project includes the following Work:
The project will include paving portions of the existing gravel multi-use trail at Lawson City Lake. This would include an approximately 0.2-mile segment of twelve-foot-wide, six-inch thick, concrete walking surface and an approximately 0.8-mile segment of eight-foot-wide, four-inch thick, concrete walking surface. The project would also include replacement and addition of culverts to maintain proper drainage surrounding the trail.

Information regarding this project can be found in the “Public Jobs” link on the website. Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies; 1911 Central Street, Kansas City, MO 64108, telephone number is 816.471.7176. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc. Federal funds are being used in the project, and all relevant federal, state and local requirements apply.

Pre-bid Conference
There is no pre-bid conference for this project.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to City of Lawson as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance.
The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the Owner, and to reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of sixty (60) days after the bids are open.
