Solicitation Description:
As part of the Scheduled Maintenance System (SMS) on the 6K series rail vehicles, the HVAC systems (front and rear) shall be overhauled in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's (WMATA's) requirements for 182 railcars. The SMS aims to bring the cars to a like-new condition ensuring equipment availability, reliability, extension of equipment lifecycle, and compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and WMATA State of Good Repair (SGR) policies. The Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for the HVAC overhaul(s) needed to satisfy this portion of the SMS program.
