Roadwork-SUPPLY&INSTALL 3 CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE CULVERTS by open excavation of Roadway on HWY 312

Purpose of this Advance Proposed Procurement Notice:

This is an advance notice for the procurement of a Contractor to complete culvert replacements near Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period and will have an early completion date.. The work is expected to take place as early as May 2026, with a specified completion date as early as July 10, 2026. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work.

Description of the Procurement:

SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF THREE 1 800 mm DIAMETER POLYMER LAMINATED CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE CULVERTS by open excavation of the Roadway on Highway No. 312, 13.48 km west of its junction with Highway No. 11; for a TOTAL LENGTH OF 75 m.

Estimated Quantities:

The following quantities are initial design estimates and are subject to change in the issued tender documents.

Proposed Culverts

• 3 – 1800 mm x 25 m long Polymer Laminated Corrugated Steel Pipe
• 125 mm x 25 mm corrugations
• 2.0 mm wall thickness
• 17 m and 8 m segment lengths for each culvert
• 3 couplers in total

Sub-Base Course: 220 t
Granular Base Course : 180 t
Asphalt Concrete: 50 t
End Stiffener: 3
Riprap Type II: 130 m3
Granular Backfill: 620 t

Approximate Embankment Height = 3 m

Deposit with each Tender - 5% of total bid

Bidders may request a debriefing session from Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement by emailing constructionsbp@gov.sk.ca within 30 days after the award notification date. The intention of the debriefing is to aid the Bidder by identifying areas of improvement that may be applied to subsequent procurement opportunities.
