Test Pits and Test Holes at Various Locations for a Period of Three Years for the New York City Transit System

Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: The work to be performed under this Contract consists of excavating test pits and/or test holes for the New York City Transit System in all the Boroughs of the City of New York as well as Staten Island Rapid Transit System for a period of three years beginning on the date of the Notice of Award of this Contract. The purpose is to obtain reliable information about underground strata, utilities and structures to enable a thorough investigation of the underlying materials and structures in preparation for the design and construction of various structures within all five Boroughs of the City of New York. The work involves excavating test pits and/or test holes and gathering information about subsurface utilities, subway roof, wall, column foundation and other structures of interest.
