Description

The purpose of the upcoming solicitation is to obtain the supply of an estimated 2 million container seedlings to be grown at a growing facility until the Government transports and transplants the Plugs into fields at the J. Herbert Stone Nursery of the Rogue-Siskiyou National Forest. The containerized seedlings will be grown in a spring (700,000 seedlings) & summer (1,000,000 seedlings) crop. The primary species will be Douglas-Fir and Ponderosa Pine, but numerous other conifer species will be included. The vendor's growing facility must be located within 300 miles of the J. Herbert Stone Nursery, Central Point, Oregon, to facilitate direct transplanting of the seedlings into the fields at the J. Herbert Stone Nursery site.



The solicitation is expected to be posted to a separate notice on 19 December 2024, and will close on 7 January 2025.
