INFORMATIONAL LINE (NO BID LINE): The State is seeking to a vendor to provide a sewer vacuum truck, with operator. This contract calls for the construction of a public work, within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130.01 et seq. (the Act). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current prevailing rate of wages (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. Vendor shall be required to perform said services with their own employees and maintain, or have the resources to obtain, adequate personnel to fulfill the contract requirements. There shall be no sub-contracting of labor.

To provide sewer vacuum services to clean out the force mains in the East St. Louis and Venice locations (Phillip Sawyer). Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking bids for the following work in St. Clair County between East St. Louis and Venice. To provide an operator, vactor truck capable of 2500 psi or more, and a minimum of 500 ft of hose. The operator and equipment would be working with our pump crew to clean out 7 miles of force main ranging from 12 inch to 24-inch pipe. The estimated hours for this service is 80 hours. The state will provide 24 hour notice to the vendor of when the services will be needed, unless there is an immediate need. The vendor will try to accommodate these request as best as they can.
