The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Air Combat Electronics Program (PMA 209), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) modification under contract N0042122C0015 for an addtional option year (OY5) to BAE Systems Information and Electronics, 450 Pulaski Road, Greenlawn, NY 11740-1606 to procure Conformal Controlled Reception Pattern Antennas (C-CRPA).
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BAE Systems Information and Electronics is the only known company that possesses the required engineering expertise necessary to perform the efforts associated with this procurement without causing unacceptable delays to the Government. BAE Systems Information and Electronics also is the only company that possesses the technical and proprietary data associated with the C-CRPA.
