Description

The Naval Special Warfare Command (NSW) Group 1 is requesting information to identify sources capable of providing Skills Trade Course of Instructions (COI) trades certifications for carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, and small engine utilizing industries tools and equipment.



This is a Request for Information (RFI) notice with the overall objective of conducting market research in support of preliminary planning for the potential acquisition of Skills Trade Course of Instructions (COI) trades certifications for carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, and small engine utilizing industries tools and equipment. This RFI seeks to provide industry and interested parties with information that will assist in the understanding of current technical requirements for potential Skills Trade Course of Instructions (COI) trades certifications for carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, and small engine utilizing industries tools and equipment. See attached document for additional information and submission instructions.



Respondents to this RFI must adhere to the following details:




  1. Submissions shall be double spaced, typed or printed in Times New Roman font with type no smaller than 12-point font.

  2. Submissions shall not exceed ten (10) pages. Course descriptions, class schedules, facilities, etc.

  3. Any text contained within tables, graphs, etc. should be 8-point Times New Roman font or larger.

  4. Included files should be created/prepared using Microsoft Office 2010 compatible applications. Graphics, photographs, and other data that may not be compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 should be submitted in Portable Document Format (PDF) format.

  5. Submitted electronic files should be limited to the following extensions:

This RFI is issued for informational and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. As such, the Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this notice. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to meet the requirement. Any information submitted by respondents is strictly voluntary. Respondents should properly mark its responses with the appropriate restrictive markings. Information that is proprietary or competition-sensitive may be protected from disclosure under the Public Records Law only if properly labeled as such. The Government may choose not to respond to specific questions or comments submitted in response to this RFI notice or information provided as a result of this RFI. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice. The information obtained from submitted responses may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future solicitation. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately on sam.gov and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation separately from the response to this RFI. Submission of a response to this notice does not constitute a request to be added to a bidders list or to receive a copy of a solicitation.



Submissions shall be submitted electronically to Emily.lonigro@socom.mil. Email is the only acceptable method of submission. No facsimile quotes will be accepted. Submission through the SAM system is not permitted.
