APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The purpose of this work is to audit the U.S. Trustees to ensure the quality of the trustee’s accounting for, and safeguarding of, bankruptcy estate assets and related internal controls and cash management practices and procedures, in accordance with the Handbook for Chapter 7 Trustees (“Handbook”), effective October 1, 2012.
The Chapter 7 trustee is a fiduciary charged with protecting the interests of estate beneficiaries (creditors) as well as the debtor(s). The trustee collects funds from the liquidation of estate assets for distribution to creditors. The trustee should administer the estate to maximize the amount to be distributed.
