Bid Description:
This project consists of but is not limited to labor and material constructing a pre-engineered building and associated site improvements. The project will be constructed as an addition adjacent to the existing museum. Access to
the site will be thru the front gate at Camp Johnson. Structural systems for the building consist of conventional concrete foundations with spread footings, a pre-engineered building structural steel frame, insulated metal wall panels and insulated standing seam metal roof panels. Aluminum-insulated windows and hollow metal doors will be utilized. Power will be provided to the new building from an existing power line adjacent to the project via a new underground service. Substantial completion date is the contract award date plus 365 calendar days. Contract completion date is substantial completion date plus 365 calendar days in order to cover warranty period.

Special Instructions:
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the site on 4/02/2026, 10:00 AM. Visitors must surrender a valid driver’s license, government ID, passport, or equivalent ID during their stay. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend. Visitors must notify the Project Manager no later than the day before the meeting so they can be added to the access list.

A criminal background check is required for all personnel if not presently on file with the BCE and current within one year. Upon award, all employees expected to work on this project must submit Base Access Registration/Record Check Form, provided by Project Manager for VTARNG Security Staff to run required background check. Form shall be submitted in PDF format by email to Project Manager. For contractors that require access to a VTARNG facility or installation: Contractor and all associated sub-contractors employees shall comply with adjudication standards and procedures using the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification (NCIC-III) and Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) (Army Directive 2014-05/AR 190-13), and applicable installation, facility and area commander installation/facility access, and local security policies and procedures (provided by a government representative).
