Sole Source Notice: Purchase of 2025 Grady-White 326 Canyon Boat from MarineMax East, Inc.

This is not a Request for Proposals and there is no solicitation available. The proposed contract action is for product or services for which the City intends to negotiate and award with only one source under the authority of the City of North Miami Beach City Code Section 3-4.8. Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.

The NMB Police Department’s current vessel has become costly to maintain and is no longer reliable for daily operations, with frequent mechanical issues and escalating repair costs limiting its availability for patrol, rescue, and dive operations. To address these challenges, the Department seeks to acquire a 2025 Grady-White 326 Canyon from MarineMax East, Inc., the only authorized Grady-White dealer in the region, making it the sole source for this vessel. The specific configuration required is available only through this dealer, and the purchase represents the most efficient, cost-effective, and timely solution to meet the City’s operational needs.
