RIHousing announces funding availability under the Housing Production Fund (“HPF”). The HPF is intended to support the development of new affordable housing and the preservation of existing affordable units. Additionally, the HPF is being used to support resident services and subsidize the operations of housing units serving Extremely Low-Income (“ELI”) households, defined as households with income at or below 30% of Area Median Income (“AMI”).
RIHousing anticipates that the HPF Extremely Low-Income Operating Reserve (“HFP-ELI”) funding will be used to support developments providing units designated to serve ELI households including those experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. To apply, please visit our website: https://osa.rihousing.com/funds/88. Once you’re logged in, click New Application to get started. When starting a new application for HPF-ELI funds, you will see three initial areas to fill out: Project Name, Property Type, and Construction Type. Please fill in your property name/project name, choose “Multifamily” from the Property Type drop-down, and then choose either New Build, Remodel or Operating Reserve from the Project Type drop-down—either choice will bring you to the application and will not affect your application. Once filled out, click “Submit,” and you will be brought to a new page where you can choose the HPF-ELI application. |
