VFD Replacement and Network Upgrades

Project Description: Northern Lancaster County Authority is soliciting bids online via the PennBid Program for the VFD Replacement and Network Upgrades for the Northern Lancaster County Authority’s Beam Road WWTP in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost from PennBid at www.PennBid.net. All bids are due by 2:00 PM on November 5, 2025.
The work will include the removal of 11 existing VFDs, 10 which are located inside the Control Building Motor Control Center and 1 located in an enclosure located next to the Motor Control Center. The work will also include the replacements of these 11 VFDs with only one VFD being taken off line at a time and the required modifications to the MCC buckets and doors. The conversion of the electrical communication network from PROFIBUS to PROFINET.
Each bidder must submit with their bid a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price in the form set forth in the Contract Documents.
Performance financial security and payment financial security, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price in the form set forth in the Contract Documents, and evidence of all required insurance as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be furnished by the successful bidder at the time set forth in the Contract Documents.
Bidders are advised that each Bidder is required to submit, with their Bid, a Non-Collusion Affidavit in the form in the Contract Documents in accordance with the Pennsylvania Anti-Bid Rigging Act.
Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the contractors on this project.
The Northern Lancaster County Authority reserves the right, at its option, to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all proposals and to reject any or all proposals.
