Introduction
The City of Americus is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide professional pressure washing services for sidewalks in the downtown district. The objective of this project is to improve the appearance and cleanliness of the sidewalks.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor will:
¿ Pressure wash all designated public sidewalks within the downtown district (map provided in Attachment A).
¿ Remove grass, dirt, grime, gum, stains, and other debris while minimizing water runoff into storm drains.
¿ Apply an appropriate protective sealant to the cleaned surfaces to help preserve the sidewalks and extend the longevity of the work. Proposals should specify the type/brand of sealant recommended.
¿ Use cleaning solutions and methods that are safe for concrete surfaces, environmentally friendly, and compliant with all applicable regulations.
¿ Schedule work to minimize disruption to downtown businesses and pedestrian traffic.
¿ Provide all labor, equipment, water supply (if not accessible from City sources), and materials necessary to complete the project.
¿ Prepare cost proposals broken down by priority levels as outlined in Attachment B (Priority Map). The City may elect to award the project in phases based on these priorities and available funding.
