RealCare Geriatric Simulator Kits - for resale OPS

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is looking to purchase 20 RealCare Geriatric Simulator Kits for distribution.
This Geriatric Simulation Suit must have several unique characteristics and features:  A wearable weight-vest (one-size-fits-all) simulates declining mobility, fatigue, stooped posture and osteoporosis.  The elbow and knee restraints simulate decreased range of motion as do the ankle and wrist weights.   Common conditions of aging are included such: six different visual impairments (glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, retinal detachment and diabetic retinopathy); loss of sensation in hands; joint stiffness; loss of strength; decrease sense of balance and confusion.

2 ankle weights
4 wrist weights
2 elbow restraints
2 knee restraints
2 gloves
Cervical collar
Set of 6 visual impairment glasses
Walker
Storage case

From the issuance date of this solicitation, until a contract is awarded to a bidder, there may not be communications concerning the RFQ between any supplier who expects to submit a quote, and any employee of OPS involved in the issuing of the RFQ. The only exception is provided through the submission of written requests for clarification / interpretation via the RFQ through the OhioBuys website during the inquiry period. Prospective bidders may make inquiries or seek clarifications regarding this RFQ any time during the inquiry period listed in the solicitation Calendar of Events. To make an inquiry, prospective bidders must use the Inquiry tab on the solicitation in OhioBuys to submit all inquiries or seek clarification. Prospective bidders submitting inquiries will receive an immediate acknowledgement by e-mail that their inquiry has been received. The prospective bidders who submitted the inquiry will not receive an e-mail response to the question but will need to view the response on the OhioBuys website where it will be posted for viewing by all prospective bidders. Substitutes for these items may be submitted but should resemble the products listed as close as possible, not only in duty but in design, and will be subject to review.  Should the substitute not meet the needs as determined by our facilities, they will be disqualified.  Bids with the preferred items will receive first consideration.
