Sealed bids will be received in the manner specified in the Advertisement for Bids in the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s

Purchasing Department, 1233 Westbank Expressway, Room 411, Harvey, Louisiana, 70058, until the date and hour

specified on Page 1 of the Advertisement for Bids and at which time they will be publicly opened and red aloud.

LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

All bids submitted are subject to these instructions and general conditions and any special conditions and

specifications contained herein, all of which are made part of the bid proposal.

The purpose and intention of this invitation to bid is to afford all suppliers an equal opportunity to bid on all

construction, maintenance, repair, operating supplies and/or equipment listed in this bid proposal. The Jefferson

Parish Law Enforcement District will accept one bid only from each vendor. Items bid on must meet or exceed

specifications outlined in the bid proposal.

In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212(E) and under the standards for the receipt of electronic bids adopted by the

office of the governor, division of administration, and the office of technology services as provided for in LAC

4:XV.701, the Jefferson Parish Law Enforcement District also offers bidders the ability to respond to this bid

from the Sheriff’s Office Purchasing Division, or its designated design professional (Architect/Engineer). To

obtain the bid specifications in written form, you may contact the Sheriff’s Purchasing Division at 504-363-5742.

C. Submittal of Bid Responses-To submit a response to the bid, you may do so in written or electronic form.

Responding in writing please submit the information located on the bidders checklist to the Sheriff’s Purchasing

Division by the date and time noted.

D. Submitting your bid response electronically-You may submit your bid response electronically with Central

Bidding (our electronic bidding vendor).

Note: To participate in the electronic submittal of bids, our vendor requires that you register with them and pay a

Proper Form of Authorization

All bids submitted must be accompanied by a corporate resolution or written evidence of the authority of the person

signing the bid, as prescribed by LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). Pursuant to LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5), the authority of the

signature of the person signing the bid shall be deemed sufficient and acceptable if any of the following conditions

are met: (a) the signature is that of any corporate officer listed on the most current annual report on file with the

secretary of state; or the signature is that of any member of a bidding partnership, limited liability company, limited

liability partnership, or other legal entity listed in the most current business records on file with the secretary of

state; or (b) the signature is that of an authorized representative as documented by the bidding entity certifying the

authority of the person; or (c) the bidding entity has filed in the appropriate records of the secretary of state of this

state, an affidavit, resolution, or other acknowledged or authentic document indicating the names of all parties

authorized to submit bids for public contracts.
