Description

Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) intends to procure all planning, material coordination, schedule preparation, labor, supervision, materials, tools, apparatus, equipment, conveyances, mobilization, and demobilization as necessary in accordance with PART I and PART II shown below and as specified in these Contract Documents.

PART I of this RFB includes a modification to the DISTRICT’S Paxton Siphon Crossing (Paxton Siphon) to extend the drain to a 12 foot wide, single barrel box culvert located south of Paxton, Nebraska, on the south side of the South Platte River.

PART II of this RFB includes the replacement of the DISTRICT’S Hershey Drain #4 six (6) foot Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) culvert with an eight (8) foot wide, single barrel concrete box at the Hershey Drain Culvert (Hershey Drain) located northeast of the Interstate 80 Hershey interchange on West Slough Road.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details

A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit for prospective Bidders will be held at the DISTRICT’S Paxton office located at 511 East 3rd Street, Paxton, NE., 69155 at 10:00 a.m., MDT, July 30, 2025. Following the pre-bid meeting all prospective Bidders will then visit both sites. The purpose of the site visits will be to answer any questions or clarifications the Bidder may have concerning the Contract specifications and to familiarize the Bidder with the project site layout. It is imperative that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting. Bids will not be accepted from any Bidder not in attendance at the pre-bid meeting. If you plan to attend the pre-bid meeting and site visit, please email Greg Trofholz at gatrofh@nppd.com, and Josh Staab at jrstaab@nppd.com before 12:00 p.m., MDT, July 29, 2025, with the names of those attending and the company they represent.
