Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Nalco Water, of Naperville, IL for continuous monitoring of the water quality of potable cold-water systems at (7) OVAHCS facilities in Orlando, FL.
NCO 8 anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Priced contract. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR Subpart 13.5, only one responsible source reasonably available to satisfy the agency requirements. The applicable NAICS Code is 541990 Other Professional, Scientific, Technical Services, with a small business size standard of $19,500,000.00.
The Veterans Health Administration currently has one of the most comprehensive Legionella prevention policies in the country and the OVAMC, Orlando Florida has meticulously reviewed their Legionella prevention activities to verify compliance with VHA requirements. To enhance our facility programs, the OVAMC, Orlando Florida intends to contract the initial development and implementation of a Chlorine PREVENTION plan with the goal of preventing legionellosis associated with building water systems.
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using products and services to provide precision oncology capabilities, to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement, show experience providing health informatics and reporting for next generation sequencing results specimen testing expanded capabilities to the PraediGene system. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
If no responses are received, NCO 8 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Nalco Water.
