| Project Title: | Geothermal Permeable Pavement Construction, Wilson, NC |
| Description: | NC State Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering (hereafter referred to as NC State or University) seeks proposals from qualified contractors (hereafter referred to as contractor or supplier) to perform the construction of a geothermal permeable pavement system in a parking lot at 114 Douglas St S, Wilson, North Carolina, 27893 (35°43' 25.6'' N, 77°54' 36.9'' W). The purpose of the proposed project is to improve stormwater runoff from an existing impervious parking lot by retrofitting a portion of the parking stalls with permeable pavement. Additionally, geothermal coils will be installed at the base of the permeable pavement to generate energy, which will be used to regulate temperature in an adjacent greenhouse. The construction is part of an innovative stormwater project funded by the North Carolina Land and Water Fund (NCL&WF) and will be used in research trials. |
