The soliciatition has been admended to update the Instructions to Replace Switchgear. The site visit date was updated to March 04, 2025. NCIC forms must be submitted by March 03, 2025 by 9:00a.m. EST. Final questions should be submitted by March 21, 2025 by 9:00a.m. EST.
Replace Medium Voltage Switchgear at FCC Butner
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has issued solicitation 15B10625Q00000010 for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract entitled Replace Medium Voltage Switchgear at Federal Correctional Institution II (FCI II) at FCC Butner.
FCC Butner is a federal correctional facility located at Old NC Highway 75, Butner, NC, 27509. The switchgear to be replaced are located at the FCI II.
The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work. The Statement of Work/Specifications attachment included with the solicitation posting will provide complete requirements for the project
The performance period for the project will be 624 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.
The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210 with a corresponding small business size standard of $19.0 million.

IMPORTANT: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above.
Each offeror’s SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement. All offerors are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information.
This is a 100% small business set-aside. You must be registered in SAM as a small business for the above NAICS code (reference FAR provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your SAM registration).
