Total Quantity: 25,000 copies
Printed packets will be delivered or mailed on the scheduled dates below. The quantities listed for each
delivery and mailing are estimates and may be adjusted based on actual admission decision volumes.
The total project quantity will remain fixed at 25,000 packets; however, NC State reserves the right to
adjust the allocation of packets among the individual mailings. Final quantities for each mailing will be
provided in advance of the applicable USPS Entry Date.

Paper Stock: Heavy cover stock, approximately 100-130# cover or comparable. Finished card should
have a metallic red appearance on both sides, approximating NC State Red (Pantone 186 C) as closely as
available. Vendor may recommend metallic stock or an alternative production method/material that
achieves the desired metallic red "Golden Ticket" effect in the most cost-effective manner.
Ink: White typography and graphic elements on both sides. If metallic stock is proposed,
opaque white ink should provide sufficient opacity and contrast.
Bleeds: None
Finishing: Trim to finished size. Square corners. No embossing required.
Vendor Note: P lease identify the proposed stock/material and production method in the quote.
Alternative production methods that achieve a comparable metallic red Golden Ticket appearance at a
lower cost are welcome.
Please provide pricing for the specified metallic red "Golden Ticket" treatment and, if available, an
alternate price for the most cost-effective production method that achieves a comparable metallic red
effect.
6. Kitting
Envelope + Folder + Sticker Sheet + Pennant + Metallic Red Card

- Hold items for mailing lists.
- Inkjet addresses and the NC State University Nonprofit Permit indicia on the envelope (item #1).
- Place the sticker sheet (item #3) in the center panel of the folder (item #2).
- Place the folded pennant (item #4) on top of the sticker sheet (item #3).
- Place the metallic red card (item #5) on top of the folded pennant (item #4).
- Fold the folder (item #2) side panels, followed by the bottom panel and then the top panel.*
- Insert the folded folder (item #2) into the converted envelope (item #1).
- Seal the envelope (item #1).
- Mail using the NC State University Nonprofit Permit.
*Vendor Note: I f an additional closure method is recommended to keep the assembled folder
securely closed during handling and mailing, vendor should identify the recommended method
and any associated cost in the quote.
General Information:
Press: Process-color printed components must be produced on at least a 4-color press. Specialty
printing processes, including screen printing and opaque white printing, should be produced
using equipment appropriate to the specified material and application.
File Format: Print-ready PDF Macintosh/PC or production files as needed (Illustrator or InDesign)
Software: A dobe Creative Suite CC
Proofing: High-resolution hard proof must be provided for final approval. Proof should be printed
on requested paper when feasible, or paper/material samples should be provided with the proof.
Proof delivery will be coordinated as the project progresses.
