This Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for the removal and disposal of debris resulting from storm damage. The project encompasses the collection and disposal of various types of debris, including large and small branches, building materials, leaves, and the cutting down of broken trees as well as dispose of all collected materials in an environmentally responsible manner according to local disposal regulations.

Objectives

  • Safely and efficiently remove debris from all DJJ Juvenile Residential and Detention facilities.
  • Dispose of all collected materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Restore the affected areas to a safe and clean condition.

Scope of Work

Site Assessment

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the affected areas to identify types and volumes of debris.
  • Document the condition of the site before work begins, including photographs and notes.

Debris Removal

  • Safely collect, remove and dispose of small branches and leaves.
  • Provide the agency with official documentation listing the amount and cost of disposal

Building Materials

  • Safely collect, remove and dispose of damaged building materials such as shingles, siding, and other structural debris.
  • Ensure hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, lead) are handled according to state, county and city regulations.
  • Provide the agency with official documentation listing the amount and cost of disposal.

Tree Removal

  • Cut down broken or hazardous trees that pose a risk to safety.
  • Stump grinding may be required for complete removal.

Transportation and Disposal

  • Transport all collected debris to designated disposal sites, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Dispose of organic materials through composting or designated yard waste facilities ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Dispose of non-organic materials in accordance with waste management guidelines.

Cleanup and Restoration

  • Conduct a final inspection of the site to ensure all debris has been removed.
  • Perform light grading or restoration as needed to return the site to its original condition.

Deliverables

  • Detailed report of debris types and volumes collected and cost
  • Documentation of disposal methods and locations.
  • Final site inspection report with before and after photographs.
