PROJECT BACKGROUND

Cold Lake Provincial Park (ColdLPP) established in 1976; located 2 km east of Cold Lake and approximately 410 km northeast of Edmonton, Alberta. This popular park consists of 117 frontcountry campsites, day use areas, shower building, toilet buildings, potable water and sanitary sewer systems, check-in booth, and other various significant infrastructure.

The existing shower building at ColdLPP has reached the end of its useful life, and it is not financially viable to conduct the extensive repairs and upgrades that would be required to meet current standards. As such, the existing building will be demolished, and a new facility will be constructed elsewhere in the park requiring tree clearing prior to construction.

The goal of RFQ 26PAR8112 is to complete the necessary tree clearing and removal required.

Alberta Parks is currently operating the park.
