Title: Translation of Voter Information Guides and Associated Election and Educational Information

The Department of Voters Registration and Elections will provide material including but not limited to Ballot Translation Guides, Voter Information Guides, voter education documents, and brochures/flyers to be translated into the following languages: Chinese (Traditional), Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mien, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Telugu, Urdu, and Vietnamese. The translated voter outreach and education materials are intended for voters, community members, and partners to print and distribute to voters with a limited-English proficiency to ensure they are informed with updates regarding the election and participate in the election process and cast a well-informed ballot. The historical annual spend for these services is approximately $100,000. The term of the awarded contract(s) shall be an initial one (1) year term, with the County reserving the right for up to four (4) subsequent one (1) year renewals, for a maximum of five (5) years .
The County of Sacramento Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) department has helped foster an open and inclusive democratic process by providing language assistance in languages other than English, serves multilingual registered voters, and partners with our language minority communities. The department provides translated material in the following languages: Chinese (Traditional), Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mien, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Telugu, Urdu, and Vietnamese. The Department of Voter Registration and Elections may add additional languages during the term of this contract as required by Federal and State laws.
