Curbside Collection and Disposal of Residential Solid Waste

The City of Tega Cay is accepting sealed bids from qualified Offerors for the Curbside Collection and Disposal of Residential Solid Waste. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM EST, May 4, 2026. In lower level Glennon Center, 15077 Molokai Dr., Tega Cay, South Carolina. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective Bidder absent from this pre-bid meeting. All questions pertaining to this request for bid must be submitted in writing by emailing jblethen@tegacaysc.gov no later than 5:00 PM EST, June 12, 2026.

All responses to this request must be received no later than 2:00 PM EST, July 13, 2026. Qualifications received after this date and time shall be returned unopened.

ADDENDUM 1

1. Current Disposal and Recyclable Processing Facilities

The current waste disposal is sent to the Fort Mill Transfer station and the Recyclables

are currently sent to the York County MRF through an agreement between the current

provider and York County.

2. Copy of the most recent current Invoice from Signature Waste

A copy of the most recent invoice from Signature Waste can be obtained by submitting a

FOIA request. A request can be submitted via

3. List of the current Recycling Customers that are registered for service with the current

provider

An estimated percentage of recycle participants was given by the current provider leading

to an estimated 2500 registered for the program.

4. Current rate structure for recyclable services

That fee is set independently through the current contractor.

5. List of streets requiring rear-load trucks (850) count

The rear-load trucks are disbursed throughout various areas of the City where roads are to

narrow to operate a sideload collection truck.

6. List of addresses that receive services for alleyways, narrow access points, or privately

maintained roadways requiring back-door or hand-cart service

The estimated 200 homes requesting alternative services are located in the Cameron

Creek Neighborhood.
