Project Description: General Notice
Borough of Lititz (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Manholes 6 and 7 Replacement Project
Entech No. 4628.036
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received electronically via the PennBid Program by the Borough of Lititz until 3:00 pm local time, Tuesday, April 22, 2025. After bid opening, a public notice will be issued via PennBid containing any available bid results. It should be noted that bid results are subject to further review and should not be construed as issuance of an award.
The Project includes the following Work:
The Contract consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of two (2) sewer manholes. The replacement includes trenching, backfilling, testing, bypass pumping, cutting back sewer pipe on each side of the manhole and reconnecting to the existing sewer interceptor pipe, as well as associated restoration.

Pre-bid Conference
A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held at 10:00 am local time on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Lititz Borough Office, 7 South Broad Street, Lititz, PA 17543. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
Instructions to Bidders.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012.
Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States.
The Borough of Lititz hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received.
Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid Due Date.
