NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bids will be received for the Contract DUPAGE COUNTY SECURITY SYSTEM MAINTENANCE & REPAIR 26-091-OHSEM on or before October 22, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. Solicitation documents, including specifications, may be obtained by email at henry.kocker@dupagecounty.gov or at www.DemandStar.com . All Bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above.

Electronic signatures are allowed and Bids do not have to be notarized. The County accepts no responsibility for transmission failures or content omissions. Bids transmitted in person, by mail or by facsimile ("Fax") will not be accepted.

STATEMENT OF WORK

DuPage County (“County”) is seeking a Bidder to 1) provide maintenance, labor, installation, and repair to correct failure of security system equipment and 2) furnish and deliver Proximity Access Control Systems maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment for existing access control, alarm, and CCTV systems at DuPage County Campus on North County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.

STATEMENT OF WORK

Security System

Bidders shall provide and/or furnish:

• Labor and installation materials to correct failure of security system for equipment to include but not limited to card readers, analog and IP cameras and camera system, graphic computers, switch panels, PLC’s input/output devices on PLC, electrified hardware and software that comprise the security systems.
• Equipment replacement, upgrading, that is necessary for maintenance will require a purchase from the County.
• When work under this contract is required, DuPage County shall notify the bidder regarding the location and general nature of same and shall issue the proper Work Order(s) and/or Purchase Order(s) and instructions for the execution of Work.
• In general, the Work under this contract shall be related, but not strictly limited, to that which is characteristic of a detention of municipal security system.

Proximity Access Control System

DuPage County current system requires the presentation of an encoded card to a card reader, allowing valid card holders, who are authorized for entry of a specific door at a specific time, access through that door. Access denial provides an automatic alert at the control-processing unit, stating cardholder’s name, identification number, date, time, door number and reason for denial. Doors with card access readers are capable of timed locking control.

Prior to any work, Bidder shall meet with Facilities Management’s representative to set a schedule, which shall be least disruptive to Facilities Management’s and building occupants’ day-to-day operations and the integrity of the existing building security. There is an assigned Facilities Management Building Manager for each specified building that work shall be coordinated with.
