The County of Marin (County) Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk (ARCC) and Department of Finance (DoF) are launching the Property Tax System (IPTS) Project to replace the existing legacy systems currently supporting the County's
assessment and property tax administration functions for the ARCC and the Auditor-Controller (AC) and Tax-Collector (TC) Divisions of the Department of Finance. The current systems developed several decades ago are antiquated,
difficult to maintain, and cannot be upgraded readily. These technical limitations impose procedural and operational constraints on the County's existing business processes and impact on the County's ability to respond effectively to changing business conditions and requirements.
