Notice to Bidders - #240504-2 Walnut Hills Elementary 2026 Site Improvements Project

Sealed lump sum bids will be received by the Owner at Waukee School Administration Building, 560 SE University Avenue until 1:00 PM, Central Time, on MARCH 25, 2026.

Sealed lump sum bids will be opened and publicly read at the Waukee School Administration Building, 560 SE University Avenue at 1:00PM, Central Time, on March 25, 2026, or at such later time and place as may then be fixed.

Lump Sum Bids will be considered by the Owner at a public meeting to be held at Waukee School Administration Building, 560 SE University Avenue at 6:00PM, Central Time, on March 30, 2026.

The general nature of the work is as follows: The project site is located at Walnut Hills Elementary School, 4240 156th St., in Urbandale, Iowa.

Project includes removal of approximately 9,000 SY of concrete pavement, 270 SY of playground and the installation of approximately 9,800 SY of driveway/ parking pavement, subgrade preparation, rock subbase and approximately 1,400 LF of subdrains.

Includes about 600 LF of storm sewer and associated drainage structures.

Also included is site grading; pavement markings; sodding, landscaping plants, erosion control. Project also includes removal and replacement of existing parking lot lighting.

The site will be available starting June 1, 2026 for commencement of work.

Substantial completion shall be by July 31st 2026. Final completion shall be by September 11, 2026.

Copies will be made available upon receipt of a refundable check or cash in the amount of $50. The deposit will be refunded in full upon return of the documents in good condition within ten days after receipt of bids.
