1.0. Overview and Purpose
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is an elected official who is the Chief Law Officer for the State of Ohio and
its agencies, boards and commissions. The office consists of about 1600 employees in nearly 40 distinct
sections that advocate for consumers and victims of crime, assist the criminal justice community, provide
legal counsel for state offices and agencies, and enforce certain state laws.
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office (“AGO”) is seeking submissions in response to this Request for
Information (“RFI”) for the gathering of information about AI products to assist criminal investigators within
the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) section. The AGO seeks information on AI solutions that can assist
BCI investigators to improve case analysis, evidence processing, and data management while ensuring
compliance with legal and security standards. BCI serves as Ohio’s crime lab and criminal-records keeper,
and it offers expert, impartial investigative services to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies 24
hours a day, 7 days a week.
This RFI is intended to gather information about available products and services. Responses gathered will
allow the AGO to evaluate and create a possible Request for Proposals (RFP). No contract will be awarded
because of this RFI. Any firm or organization’s response, or lack thereof, to this RFI, will have no impact on
the evaluation of responses to any subsequent RFP.
2.0. Scope of Information Request
Vendors must provide information and responses as directed within the Ohio Buys Questionnaire as
applicable. The AGO has a strong desire to receive and review condensed, content rich responses. To meet
this objective, the AGO has established a structured format for responses to this RFI. All narrative responses
must be provided in PDF.
Interested parties replying to this RFI should address the following topics and questions. Please note, while
respondents are encouraged to submit narrative responses to any or all questions, it is not mandatory to
respond to each question. Provide examples, screenshots, and links to more information as appropriate.
The scope of this information request includes the following:

1. Does your product support redactions of audio and video records? If yes, describe the process and
automation features.
2. Can your product read handwriting or transcribe audio files? If so, what accuracy rates does it
achieve and is it searchable?
3. Does your solution integrate with:
o Matrix, Evidence,com or other law enforcement document systems? If not, is that an option to
integrate in the future?
o Other agencies with shared dashboards or other tools?
4. How does your product compare to other Law Enforcement AI tools and common AI Office tools such
as Advanced Co-Pilot or Everlaw? Highlight differentiators.
5. Does your product support multiple languages? If so, what languages and if not is this something
that is in development?
6. How does your product evaluate data and information from multiple case files to establish
correlations?
7. Does your product flag incomplete or conflicting data?
8. Does your product support Forensic Accounting capabilities?
9. Does your solution integrate, interface, or otherwise support digital forensics tools? If so, which tools
and what are the degrees of integration supported? (E.g., identification of people or items in
photographs or videos; automation of workflows, etc.)Does your product provide comprehensive
case summaries of data ingested with the ability to search with AI assistance?
10. Does your product analyze phone records, multimedia data (video, audio), and documents to create
timelines and product link charts?
11. Are those products, timelines and link charts already built into the base system or is there an
additional cost?
12. Does your product utilize open-source searches in correlation with ingested data?
13. Does your product provide any proactive alerts or notifications about data?
2.2. Compliance and Legal
14. Is your product CJIS compliant? If so, please include documentation.
15. What cloud are you using to store data and who has access to the data?
16. How does your company stay current with legal changes such as Federal, state, and local legislative
changes, and court admissibility standards?
17. How does your product handle audit trails and chain-of-custody?
18. Does your product manipulate any data that creates new variations of the data?
19. Does your product account for bias?

20. What customer service options do you provide?

2.4. Current Engagements
24. Are you currently working with law enforcement agencies? If yes, please share examples of case
studies, if available.
2.5 Technical and Hosting
25. Is your solution hosted, web-based, or available on premises?
26. What are the storage limits and scalability options?
27. How does your solution ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive law enforcement data?
28. Is your product open to the internet or a closed system? Would a client’s information be used for
learning?
29. How does your product handle disaster recovery?
2.6 Pricing Model
30. Describe your pricing model, including any charges related to data. Do not include any cost figures.
3.0. Format and Content of Response
Vendors are asked to provide information and responses as directed within the Ohio Buys Questionnaire as
applicable. The AGO has a strong desire to receive and review condensed, content rich responses. To meet
this objective, the AGO has established a structured format for responses to this RFI. All narrative responses
to be provided in PDF with a maximum submission of 20 pages.
Vendors may be asked to be available for a thirty (30) minute presentation as a result of this RFI. The BCI
team will provide a list of questions two (2) weeks prior to the presentation to discuss during this
presentation.
Respondents are prohibited from including in the RFI response any information that the respondent
considers to be a “trade secret,” as that term is defined in Section 1333.61(D) of the Ohio Revised Code. All
information submitted in response to this RFI is public information under Section 149.43 of the Ohio
Revised Code unless a statutory exception exists that exempts it from public release.

The AGO will consider all responses voluntarily submitted to be free of trade secrets, and such responses, if
opened by the AGO will, in their entirety, be made a part of the public record, and will become the property of
the AGO, pursuant to ORC Section 149.43.
4.0. Calendar of Events

OhioBuys may be adjusted at the discretion of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and any changes will be
communicated through OhioBuys.

intent and scope of this solicitation must be received by the date listed in the Calendar of Events.
Vendors may make inquiries regarding this solicitation any time during the inquiry period listed in the
Calendar of Events and Deadlines. To make an inquiry, vendors must login to Ohio Buys, navigate to the
